If you're shopping for a new manufactured or modular home in Albany or anywhere in Linn County, one of the first questions worth asking is simple: who actually builds it? At Future Homes, most of the homes on the Albany lot come from factories in the Pacific Northwest, built indoors and then delivered to your land. Here's a quick introduction to the builders behind the homes, the series they make, and a few of the close-out homes you can see in Albany right now.
Every factory-built home starts on a production line, not on your lot. Future Homes puts it this way on its home page: "Built indoors. Set anywhere in the Northwest." Because the work happens under a roof, weather doesn't stall the build schedule the way it can on a traditional job site.
The factory also decides a lot of what you'll live with: the floor plans available, the standard features, and which building code the home is built to. Knowing the builder helps you compare plans fairly and ask better questions when you visit.
Future Homes sells new manufactured, modular, park model and tiny homes from Skyline, KIT Custom Homebuilders and Cavco, plus other builders. Its series page groups every plan by the factory that builds it. Three of those builders supply many of the homes you'll see in Albany.
Cavco Woodburn takes its name from Woodburn, Oregon. On the Future Homes series page, it's the builder behind a long list of familiar Northwest series: Cascadia Special Edition, Cascadia Value, Eagle, Pure Homes, Juniper, Sandpointe, Evergreen, Ascent and Wingate.
Several of the close-out homes on the Albany lot come from series Future Homes lists under Cavco Woodburn:
Skyline McMinnville is Skyline Homes' plant in McMinnville, Oregon. Skyline's Northwest site says it offers both manufactured homes and modular homes, and its manufactured models, such as the Ridgewood J831, are described as built to the federal (HUD) building code for manufactured housing.
Future Homes lists these Skyline McMinnville series: Hillcrest, Hillcrest Triple, Shore Park, Spectra CS, Spectra RH, Ridgewood and Millcreek. In Albany, the Hillcrest G865 is on the close-out list: 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and 1,600 sq ft in a 28'x60' layout, reduced from $219,755 to $187,950.
Cavco Nampa takes its name from Nampa, Idaho. Future Homes lists its series as Broadmore, Forest Park, Waverly Crest Prestige, Pure Homes and Anthem. Every series can be browsed online, so ask the team which Nampa plans are available for a site in Linn County.
Future Homes doesn't stop at those three. The series page also includes KIT Homes (Pinehurst, Grand Manor, Cedar Canyon and Meadow Ranch), Champion Weiser, Clayton Hermiston and Clayton Albany. On the Albany lot, the Pinehurst 2514, from the Pinehurst series Future Homes lists under KIT Homes, is part of the close-out sale: 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, 1,387 sq ft in a 26'8"x52' layout, reduced from $249,913 to $229,950.
When you're weighing a Woodburn-built home against one from McMinnville or another plant, compare like for like. Look at square footage and width, the number of sections, and whether the home is built to the HUD code for manufactured homes or as a modular home. Ask which features are standard on each series and which are options. And ask the Future Homes team how site work, installation and financing fit into the total, since the company says it stays involved through site work, financing conversations and service calls after the sale.
Close-out pricing changes as homes sell, so check the Inventory Specials page for what's still available. If you'd like to put a home on land you already own, the land-home packages page and financing page are good next stops.
The Albany lot is at 33964 Oakville Rd SW, Albany, OR 97321, with more locations in Redmond, Tacoma and Bremerton. Browse all the factory series on the series page, see all four locations, or contact the team. To reach the Albany office directly, call (541) 928-1555.
